Mark Shprintz is licensed by the Tennessee State Acupuncture Commission, Nationally Certified as an Acupuncturist and Chinese Medical Herbalist. He is a Masters Degree graduate with highest honors from Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, California. Emperor’s College is a four-year, three thousand hour program and consistently ranked among the finest Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine educational programs in the United States.

Mark’s extensive post-graduate study includes the gentle and precise techniques of Japanese Meridian Therapy for sensitive, exhausted or depleted individuals, Contemporary Acupuncture Sports Medicine for athletes and performing artists, Trigger Point Acupuncture and Dry Needling for complex and chronic pain relief.

Mark continues his decade long mentor relationship with Dr. Joseph Yang, Ph.D, Acupuncturist and Master Chinese Herbalist. Dr. Yang is a Neuroscientist and Medical Psychiatrist trained in China and Japan and is practicing in Los Angeles, specializing in healing  emotional issues with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Yang has focused his sophisticated expertise into a line of premium Chinese herbal supplements, formulated in California. Mark’s own healing practice includes yoga, qigong, pilates and somatic awareness. As with his acupuncture, Mark combines traditional exercise with contemporary techniques including Myofascial Stretching and ELDOA, a profound system of whole body exercise that targets the spine, decompressing nerves and rehydrating inter-vertebral discs. The goal of this entire process is gently releasing muscular tension and energy holding patterns, freeing the body’s movement potential and the heart’s creative expression.
