Mark Shprintz is licensed by the Tennessee State Acupuncture Commission, Nationally Certified as an Acupuncturist and Chinese Medical Herbalist and a member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is a graduate with highest honors from Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, California. Emperor’s College is a four-year, three thousand hour program and consistently ranked among the finest Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine educational programs in the United States.
Mark’s extensive post-graduate education includes the gentle and precise techniques of Japanese Meridian Therapy for sensitive, exhausted or depleted individuals, Contemporary Acupuncture Sports Medicine for athletes and performing artists, Trigger Point Acupuncture for complex and chronic pain relief.
Mark continues his decade long mentor relationship with Dr. Joseph Yang, Ph.D, Acupuncturist and Master Chinese Herbalist. Dr. Yang is a Neuroscientist and Medical Psychiatrist trained in China and Japan. His expertise is integrating classical Chinese theory with contemporary medical science in the treatment of physical, emotional and psychiatric disorders. Mark’s sophisticated approach to understanding and treating emotional issues with Traditional Chinese Medicine is profoundly influenced by his study with Dr. Yang.
